Dear friends, family and fans,

Please consider providing financial support at this very exciting juncture in my career. I am at the point where, with adequate funding, I will have the opportunity to perform for national and international audiences.

"Solo Performing Career Launch" is a fundraising project, with the goal of raising funds to underpin numerous activities in this year of expansion. It is not one single activity but several smaller promotional and performance activities which, over time, are needed to proceed effectively. I am confident that my performing will be financially self-sustaining in two to three years, profitable in five.

One exciting adventure involves performing as a concerto and recital soloist in several South East Asia countries in a three week tour in May and June, 2009. One of the venues is the Opera House in Hanoi in North Vietnam, with the first American orchestra to perform there since the war. Major news networks have already been contacted about covering this event, synchronously positioned with the New York Philharmonic's recent triumph in North Korea.

Assistance for travel expenses, or the printing costs for excellent promotional materials are just a few of the projects that make up the larger financial need for this year.

My fundraising goal is $15,000. Whatever you feel moved to contribute would be greatly appreciated. And it is tax deductible!

The Montana Arts organization has offered Fiscal Sponsorship for my project, so that I can accept tax deductible donations using their 501(c)3 status. They also formalize the process by collecting receipts for expenses, and offering assurance that the money is used for express purposes of the stated project. In order to take advantage of tax deduction, checks need to be made out to Montana Arts, with "Rebecca Hartka project" in the memo.
